Honda at SEMA: Something big will happen in Japan next year in the world of motorsports

04With the celebration of Honda’s 50 years in America, the 2009 Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, was a good opportunity to present many historic and equipped vehicle full with accessories. Apart from the Honda Accord Sedan that was on show with many Mugen accessories, Mr. Bruce Smith, vice president of Parts Operations for American Honda said that “Customized Honda cars factor strongly into SEMA history and are a big part of Honda’s 50 years in America. With a growing accessory lineup, now including Mugen kits for the Accord sedan and Fit, Honda is committed to supporting personalization of our vehicles into the future”. However, one thing that caught our attention is that they are rumours by many Honda executives, that something big will be announced or even presented in the world of motorsports next year in Japan. We can only expect something like the revival of a new NSX. So far the rumors are building up and if something like that actually do happens, then we could really say “Big in Japan!”.

Additionally and away from this rumor, Honda displayed several accessorized vehicles including the all-new 2010 Accord Crosstour, the Dog Friendly Element, the Fit with MUGEN accessories, a Honda Factory Performance (HFP™) Civic Si Sedan and a HFP Accord Coupe.
