Default Recomendations for Cylinder Head Work in N. AL?

Hey Bama crew,

I've had a infrequent misfire that has been showing up on Cylinder 2, seemingly every couple months but always on #2. It's an 05 with 42k miles, Never burns oil. After ruling out plugs & coils, I pulled the injectors and had them serviced. The shop found the cylinder 2 injector to be faulty, so i replaced it and had the others cleaned. After install the car seems to be running great but the misfire reappeared.

A compression test this morning just showed 210 psi across the board, with 110 psi on cylinder 2 (I was not WOT on the test, not sure the impact on that).

So, I would like to find a shop that can do a leak down test and any valve work that might be needed. If anyone has any shop recommendations I would really appreciate it (I'm in Huntsville, but don't know of any local shops).

Thanks in advance,
Reid Duff

If you can get to Murfreesboro, TN or work something out with him, I would highly recommend talking to Jordan K at Deft Motion (screen name is jordanksartell).

Check out this thread in this subforum about him:

I have had him do a compression test, leak down test, and all around shakedown on my S as well as replacing the clutch. Top notch work. Also highly recommended by Billman!

Many thanks for the recommendation. I am doing a leakdown test Wednesday to see if I can better identify the extent/location of the trouble. I've reached out to Jordan as well. Will post results. Many thanks!

That's correct Jordan is the man. He just completed repairing my burnt valves issue. Drove my car up from Mobile to get him to fix it. Worth the trip up. Later BD

I am looking into maybe having him do my clutch install as I am running out of time and motivation to get it done. I just wanna throw my turbo kit back on the new S2000.
