Blendmount - Radar Detector Mounts

Blendmount - Radar Detector Mounts
Hey guys,
Since the last couple meets, I know some have taken a look at my radar mounting system. I wanted to share a bit more about it.
I use an Escort 8500 x50, and I've always been on the lookout for a solid mount. Window suction cups just don't cut it, and i didn't want to put any adhesives on the dash or the secret compartment. Formerly, I had a Blendmount on my Acura RDX, and it is a really solidly built machined aluminum mount. When I got the S2K, I also got another Blendmount.
Blemdmounts are designed to fit around the collar/stem of your rearview mirror, and extend downward to have the detector sit just below the rearview, and centered on the car.
I have been using the new mount on the S2K for about a month now, and it is incredibly solid. No movement or vibration whatsoever. I've also worked with the guys over at Blendmount to get the perfect fit for the S2K. If anyone is interested in getting a mount for their Escort or V1, here's the link as well as a 15% discount code especially for the S2KI folks:
Link: http://store.blendmount.com/blendmou...2000-p923.aspx
Code: S2000
The pictures might not exactly match, but the guys over at Blendmount assured me that for those who order, as long as you specify you have an S2000, they will hook you up with the right parts.
Any questions let me know. I'll also try to make it out to tomorrow's meet if anyone else would like to see it in person.

It's interesting that Escort is now offering the exact same mount on their web site for the same price (not including the discount you negotiated). I ordered the Honda / Acura version and it fit neither my S2k or my Acura TL.
Glad to hear these guys will modify for S2K and hoping they may have a solution for the Acura as well. Nice post - thanks!

I've got mine hardwired up through the trim around the windshield, and then down to the fuse box. Used this tutorial to take out the trim. It was really easy. Most difficult part was trying to get my hands on the fuse box.

I used the Escort branded hardwire adapter (without remote display) but they're easy enough to make if you like.
