Intake sound
Beyond removing the stock top to the stock intake, revealing the stock cone filter, is there any other intake that sounds better? Bang for buck hard to beat free..

Taking the lid off your airbox is great way to loose power in exchange for a little sound.
I recommend getting a Injen or AEM true CAI or a snorkel with a gutted airbox and a K&N filter

How much power is lost? These cars are so gutless as is...I figure 95pct of Jackshit is still Jack shit.
What do you mean by gutted air box? I take off the lid and there's nothing inn there but a cone filter. If the difference is 3 hp and 4 vtecz for free then ill take it. Nothing short of a blower makes a difference on this car

K&N fipk gives 2-3 whp throughout the entire rpm range and a solid sound. Great buy. I prefer the Comptech (ct engineering) because of the increases performance gain for the additional $100, but you loose a little bit of the sound appeal.

The biggest issue you're going to run into with removing the top of the OEM box is going to be heatsoak. When you're driving around the car is going to be fine, but in stop and go traffic it's going to bog off the line and it's going to buck at very low throttle inputs.
