Demand for S2000 in China

Demand for S2000 in China
Due to crazy mark-ups in China (2.5 to 3 times compare to Canadian new car price), there seems to be a huge demand for Canadian cars and American cars in China (pretty much a win-win situation for the seller in North America and the buyer in China). An example of this is a Chinese friend of mine recently sold his C63 507 to China to his friend and made a huge profit even though the car has been driven for 2 years. The friend/buyer whom purchased from him paid significantly less than what a C63 507 would have costed him in China.
I thought, with fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin, why not seize the opportunity to sell to the Chinese market?
But anyone know how's the demand for S2000 is like in China?

I remember seeing a black ap1 in Beijing years ago. This must of been 2008.

Very little demand. Cars are still too expensive to be a normal guy's toy. Also I believe it'll be extra hard to deal with custom and registration, since S2000s are not originially sold in China.

Well I think it isn't that expensive. If a guy can buy a BRZ, he can buy an S2000. However, used car market is terrible in China..
