Flooding in Brisbane

This is incredible. I usually go for a run along the river through Toowong to the City. The foot and bike path that one would usually see is completely submerged. The river is usually at least a couple of meters below the foot path.
I took the photos at about 1800 today, and the river looked like it had risen by about 4m.
So I've been sitting here watching the river from Kangaroo Point, and all sorts of crap is flowing down the river. Pontoon after pontoon, some with boats, some with jetskis, some with chairs. I've even seen wheelie bins and sheds go through.

Here's a short video I took of the Brisbane River yesterday at Toowong, when it was supposed to be "low" tide.

It may be hard to understand if you're not local, but that is-not-normal. The flooding seems to have affected the most, the western suburbs like Ipswich, the northern suburbs, and basically anywhere along the river. Parts of my area have already evacuated to higher ground.
