I took my S for a spin last night. First drive in about 6 months. Such a pleasure to have the wind in your hair and certain death under your right foot.

I haven't driven over 5000rpm in about 5 months too, hopefully I get the same feeling...

Hi Aus,

I am still here after 14 years. Still driving my AP1 S2000 to work but since I will be 65 next month perhaps no more work? As it is I only go in twice a week.
Apart from that I rarely drive the S any more since my wife and I prefer to drive our new VW Golf Alltrack. The turbo and dual-clutch auto make it a real pleasure to drive, even though the power is down 20% on the S. (I couldn't persuade her to let me get a Golf R wagon instead but if I did that would have 206Kws and 0-100 in 5.0.)

But there is nothing like a nice twilight drive in the S with the top down. I expect to keep the S for many more years.

It is coming up for 245,000kms soon.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Good to hear you're still enjoying it.

You car was spotted and admired on the Facebook page last week.

My S has been on and off the road recently. ECU failed, fixed that, axle broke, upgraded to DSS 2.9s, coil failed, fixed that, out of rego now (waiting on pink slip).

I missed my original S2k so much I ended up getting another! I had a v35 skyline and a 350z (and drove countless other cars) in the past few years but nothing came close to making me feel the way my s2k did Definitely a long term keeper.

Its getting better Thats all I will say

Its kinda sad.. there's not much activity in here. I find s2ki much more informative with less heckling and stupid posts compared to the Facebook era groups.
