^ given the weather conditions I wonder how long the ultrasoft tire will last. They may be able to make a one stop race work.

Race broadcast is on NBCSN. Local NBC channels that were supposed to carry the race are currently covering the tragic mass shooting in Florida.

Two 1 stoppers in a row for LH. Great job to manage tires.

Fairly processional race, except for the moments of excitement provided by Max Verstappen defending against one of the Silver Arrows. I was expecting more out of Montreal, given that we usually have some exciting races here. Good race for Ferrari and Williams. Again both Force India's finished in the points. Pretty bad day for McLaren with the engine upgrade not quite delivering the uptick in performance.

On to Baku and the European grand prix in a weeks time. I can't believe the FIA approved that track given how narrow some sections of the track are. I hope that Baku is one of those here today, gone tomorrow tracks just for the sake of driver safety.

I thought the race was alright. If Vettel had been able to close the gap (or if his team hadn't had made the wrong call) it would have been much more fun to watch. I loved watching Verstappen close the door on Nico, over those last few laps.

If you didn't watch it, in the Sky Sports post-race interviews, Vettel crashes Hamilton's interview and kept on rambling about the two seagulls (which he had mentioned in the pre-podium briefing room after the race), which no-one else saw. Sky said they couldn't find any footage of said birds. Vettel said he'll wait until they find the footage. They finally found it, turn 1, right before the virtual safety car.

^ link for sky sports doesn't work. Are you sure you pasted the full URL in your post?

Yeah the podium ceremony was funny and I thought Lewis' gesture to Muhammad Ali was touching and heartfelt.

Back home,after the race.
Vettel had a great start.
Not sure,If I like Hamilton,as much as I used to...pushed his teammate out of the track, for a second race in a row...cheap freaking shot...

Nico seemed to take it in his stride when he was interviewed at the end of the race. He seems much changed. IIRC he called it a racing incident.
