This race was much better than the last one I thought. Or maybe the producers were doing the right thing by showing the positions where some racing was going on. I think the McLarens did well in the race. They made a good start and stayed in the points until at the end Alonso was caught out. And yet he gave Gutierrez a hard fight. I chuckled when they came on the radio to JB and told him Bottas was running on very used prime tires.

Props to Lewis for getting a great start and then setting the pace. I wonder WTF is wrong with Nico. Yet again he had a case of turn-itis, this time with Max. From there he seemed to be fighting on the backfoot, or I'd say he was barely even fighting at all. Sometimes I wonder why Mercedes signed him for another season. He is a good driver but he can't rise above his circumstances or so it seems.

Happy for Daniel Ricciardo. I think he deserved the place as did Max. I thought Max made a lightning start. Now on to the summer break. Hopefully we will emerge on the other side and see a hard battle for the drivers championship. Lewis will start getting hit with grid penalties. He has the ability to fight back from lower in the grid. But it remains to be seen how well Nico capitalizes on that. He has to, if he wants to win the championship. I think this is his best chance yet.

Also hoping my McLaren Honda boys come back stronger and make regular Q3 appearances as well as finishing in the points. Of course speculation will also ramp up about Stoffel Vandoorne versus Jenson Button. My $0.02, McLaren should get SV a drive with Manor alongside Wehrlein and keep JB on for another season. I'd love to see him win the British GP before he reitres from the sport.

Couldn't sum it up better myself. I'm very shocked to see Williams struggling soooo much this season after last year. I can't wait for the upgrades after the break. Mclaren Honda should be a lil quicker. Ferrari is due for a shake up also
