Question ** 2JZ S2K ** Build thread, its here.

So I talked about the idea for awhile now - and I just blew my F20C up, so the time has come to get this thing moving. I am parting out all my Transmission and motor parts and I am hoping to have the 2JZ at my house in about 2 months. The real work begins with getting the engine bay ready along with knowing the wiring lay out.

I will have pictures posted tonight the process I am beginning with. There has never been a build thread for this, so I will be pleased to make this.

As of right now the engine bay is clear. I will be shaving and tucking all wires and holes. This project will be worth the money and time I put into it. Stay tuned.
Oh and just to start you off with a little of what happened. Was going I would say to fast, dropped the car into 3rd, didn't know my speed, and well dropped a valve, not to happy, but life happens.

All my other parts life the cams and stuff are fine, block got screwed up in the cylinders, but the crank is good too, if anyone needs parts let me know, trans etc are for sale.

Even if you screw up, I think it is good to still show the results, so people can see. Since this is my build thread please keep any negative comments to yourself and respect this thread, thank you.

I never looked at the speedo, other circumstances were present. Was not racing either..

Pics will be up soon of the engine bay.

Motor has exactly 101,693 - The oil pan I just put on it has 4000 miles, bought it new from Honda, Crank is amazing looking, no wear at all, very happy with how Honda builds their motors. The cams and cam caps and unit are all good just the head is crap. Sadly I put Ap2 Retainers on the intake side and keepers then I do this !! Err..

What makes u want to put a big heavy iron motor in this thing when u can make just as much power with a lightweight F20?

Dont say its to "be original"...cause its been done before.

I agree the honda motor is an incredible motor for reliability and longevity. It won't make the power as easily as the 2Jz. What do you do to the steering rack in this conversion. Do you lower the subframe or what?
