The **ap2 jared / DPK jared** build thread.
Hello s2ki! I thought i'd finally make a build thread and re-introduce myself. I joined s2ki back in 2005. Over the past 10 years I've put together a car i felt that best represents who i am. I put this car together simply for my self satisfaction. I've had quite a few people ask me to make a build thread recently, so here goes nothing...
I bought the s2000 brand new in OCT 2005. from Pasadena Honda. I'm proud to say i am the original owner and hope to stay that way.
Since i will be starting from the beginning of "the build", i will be posting plenty of THROWBACKS to get to present time. Please excuse the poor quality timeline pics.
Be patient cause i will be digging up old photos that i don't know what the "F" we may be doing in the photo.
I just want to say a quick THANKS to the people i looked up to when i first started s2ki. These guys helped pave the way for me.

one of the first times out with the car for a small shoot. i didn't have much going for the car. Pretty much stock with Tein type Flex coil overs on.
I knew from the start i wanted Mugen mf10's. So i called my buddy ICB matt and begged him to sell me a set from his private collection.
Mugen nsx spec mf10's 16x8/17x9 +42. Matt ended up selling me his custom champ white set.
i was super excited to get these in.
i added custom mf10L decals and removed the "L"
All mounted up on 205/50/16f, 245/40/17r yoko es100s.
Later in the early year of 2006 i purchased a few go "faster" parts. (notice i did not say "fast" parts)
I thought it was a bad idea to drive on such rare expensive mf10's so i went to RB Motoring..now known as VR wheels to purchase a "daily driven wheel set" haha.
I adored blitz 01s. so i got this set 17x8 17x9 +45 for $800. I was lucky to find this all original set, it had original Blitz lip decals and Blitz BRW valve stem caps.
got around to mounting 215/45/17f, 245/40/17 Falken 452 tires.
Bought myself a BackYard special spoiler off a s2ki member...mounted that bad boy just in time to roll out to an NWP summer nights meet at Eibach in Corona (back in 2006)
my buddy big mike pulling out the car...
to be continued.

BEST MUGEN EVERRRRRRR!!!! MUGEN KING! ALL HAIL
Such an innovator and old school. Someone i looked up to for a long time. Most of all, Jared, you're such a cool and humble guy--that's what truly makes you the best in my book.

eibach 2007 (i think) rolling out early morning and meeting up with few s2000 guys.
that is whites2000 manny behind me and Justin who works/worked at Evasive with his spoon s2000.
manny and I parking that morning.
myself and my buddy s2pie (who no longer has an s2000)
s2x sam and i started chatting it up on the forums. Months later I was invited to his house and we did a quick wheel swap for a day.
sam had a amuse r1 front bumper and a mugen ss rear bumper/exhaust combo at the time.
sam let me use his bronze mf10s and i seriously just fell in love with the look. i hated how my nsx spec mf10s were 16/17 and sam's wheels were 17s front and rear.
it left an eye sore of a wheel gap.
after meeting up with s2x sam, i called up ICB matt and he had a spare set of s2k spec mf10s for me.
17x7.5 +52, 17x8.5 +59. the condition of the wheels were 7/10. they were curbed, dirty and had plenty of scratches.
with extensive rubbing with soap and tooth brush, the bronze was starting to come back to life.
my 1st set of s2k spec mf10s.
finally mounted on 215/45/17, 245/40/17 Falken 452
took pics with the worst camera ever.
it really bugged the sh!t out of me how curbed my mf10s were so i decided to put new mugen MF blue caps on them to distract people from looking at bronze in detail. LOL

Awesome build Jared. I've always loved this car
Definitely a hard build to keep up with, especially for someone who's a mugen enthusiast. I can see how someone would wanna "throw in the towel" when looking at your build. Not that it's a competition or anything
