The alignment was probably an hour long. At the time I honestly did not really know better and listened to Wade at SOS (he is incredibly knowledgeable and a good tech) but after I left the shop I contacted some of the guys from the R&C forum whom I trust and was led down the road of believing it was the subframe that shifted. These guys track almost every weekend and only 1-2 of them have ever bent a suspension component. Its more common to see a subframe shift and its happened a few times to these guys. This has me thinking the Spoon Rigid Subframe Collars might be a good investment. The pro would be my subframe wouldnt have shifted, but the con is the load and force would have been transferred elsewhere and could have caused more damage. It is something I will ponder for awhile.

I am shocked as well that a 17x9+63 came out looking this good. I think we all have it in our heads that it doesnt look that good and the wheels are really sunken in. I think its a combination of the wheels design (all non gtr face RSII's were designed to be more concave then the previous RS) and the meaty Hankook RS-3's that really fill out the wheel wells and make it look more flush. I have 3mm spacers but I honestly think with the RS3's I will rub.

I am glad that waiting for the wheels for almost a full year paid off.

I agree! I have been staring at pics of your car since you got your wheels, glad I can finally join the club and stare at my own car now

Looks fantastic!

So you still have the lip intact on the front fenders? That would make me a bit nervous with those chunky tires. Even with the tabs bent up, most cases I've seen of fenders getting pulled out were from the tire catching the thin lip.

Yes I believe so. We just trimmed the fender liner like you normally would and bent the tabs. Honestly I will have to take another look as I dont remember how big the lip is. I do still have some concerns and I am gradually pushing the car a little bit more each time to make sure its clear and I am very conscious about hitting bumps and slops with the wheels pointed straight. The good thing is -3.1 is a lot of front camber and the tire is really tucked in a over an inch away from the fender.

Got inspired by one of Boufords shots so here is my own rendition. I need to find a better back drop though.
