Ok. Not like you have to explain yourself, but I was curious as to why 2 s2000's were sold for another and a new gt4. At least you kept an S. You would've regretted that down the road. Are all gt4's auto
I would definitely sell every other fun car I had if it would allow me to own a GT4.
And i did sell my track toy in the AP2 and also all the parts off my CR. Surprisingly i did not have any trouble selling the track car and had it sold within a day of posting.
Hopefully the GT4 is everything I am hoping it will be.

So you started a build thread for a car that you are still selling then.
Atleast this will keep the miles off the Porsche.

Key word being destroy, because on track that is a very probable reality.
And, since this is mainly for HPDE use, it's a lot more satisfying to pass a guy driving a GT4 (because he's pussy footing it around the track scared to wreck his car) in your $17k AP1 than it is to be the guy in the GT4 getting passed by the guy in the AP1...

This. Not sure what's the point of buying a sports car if you don't drive it. I guess people have fun staring at their "stuff".

Stuff happens on the track. Stuffing a $17K (once lightly modified for track use) s2k into a wall is a lot easier to accept and swallow than is stuffing a gt4 into the same wall.

So you're going to mod this to be your trackcar while your Cayman gt4 is going to be your parking lot whore? I'm confused. Why destroy a beautiful ap1 for the track when you can do that with the gt4 that was designed and built for that

So you can tell people you own a Cayman GT4.

I haven't ruled out the possibility of tracking my GT4.
Driving the GT4 would be an experience however daily commuting it in our glorious LA traffic is pointless, not to mention risky with all the distracted drivers we have out here.
People enjoy their cars for many different reasons. Of all the Porsche Owners i've met at Cars and Coffee and other events i would say only a small fraction actually track their cars. I haven't ruled it out entirely since Porsche did make it to be driven on the track however i do have my reservations and will use the S2000 for those track urges.
