well, turns out cylinder two is scored beyond repair (yay for buying used cars!!)

so in an attempt to make the best of the situation, i am sending the long block to Laskey Racing for a complete top and bottom end rebuild.

going to be a long few months... =(

Bummer....

Laskey is a very reputable Honda engine builder. Have you considered going with a stroker?

sorry to hear about the scored wall, will this be a complete OEM rebuild with OEM parts? If not, what will you be changing? Id suggest sticking with OEM AP2 retainers over anything aftermarket. Please take lots of pics, id definitely be interested in what the cost is to do a complete OEM rebuild. Is the block even reuseable?

it is a laskey racing build with OEM specs, so no OEM parts will be used,it costs about $4600 for a full top and bottom end rebuild

Looking good! Bummer that you have to wait for a few months.

If you like quiet exhausts, then I'll suggest the Fujitsubo Legalis-R. It has a deep tone and it's very quiet.

Great looking car, good to see it back running again. How are you liking the Bilstein's?

What all was entailed in your rebuild? Did you reuse the block? What components did you use to rebuild? Whats the new compression like? Total out of pocket cost?
