Meh. The parts don't do me any good if they're sitting next to the car......
Wheels should go on next week. Car should start getting torn apart about that times as well. Lots more stuff still to come in.

Alright everyone, it's time for an update.
So, as I'm sure most of you know, I overheated my motor on the way back from a track day, and this time there was no fixing it. I'll spare you all the grim details, but maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan that shit sucked. Here's a photo of the struggle bus:

I rolled that thing off the trailer and straight to the back of the shop. The depression of having blown up a healthy motor last all of 15 minutes before I started looking for a new motor. At first, I only wanted to do an F22C and leave everything else as-is. I found a great deal on a healthy, already-upgraded F20C and........ well, it all kind of snowballed from there.
Along with the motor (a healthy 2001 unit with 88,000 miles, healthy compression numbers, AP2 retainers and oil banjo bolts, a baffled pan, and a Hondata intake manifold gasket), the seller offered me a 30,xxx mile AP2 transmission and a Puddymod AP1 4.44 rear end for a deal I simply couldn't refuse. Throw in a new steering rack from him, a 63mm test pipe, and a bunch of other little odds and ends, and I was on my way to Virginia with some friends to pick it all up. Nearly 900 miles, one way, to pick it up........

Once I got the motor, tranny, differential, and steering rack issues settled, I systemically went through the car and made a list of everything that either bugged me, didn't work as well as it should, or would need replacing soon due to age and wear. I started at the front and worked my way back, and this is (I think) an accurate list of everything I've procured in the past two months for the car:
Upgrades:
After recovering the new powertrain, I started getting the motor ready to go in the car. Meanwhile, the old motor has been removed and is being assessed for damage. The extent of the damage is not yet known, but I know it got ****ing HOT. The coil packs melted into the spark plug tubes and needed to be removed with a pry bar. When I tear the motor down, I'll post pictures here.
In the meantime, here are some photos of the ongoing work:

Great update, but your photo links don't really seem to be working.
Thus, rather butt update.

Lol thanks Cody. Hopefully it runs nice!
I know most of what I'm doing is unnecessary, but I'm a detail-oriented person by nature and really anal about replacing things BEFORE they fail. At the end of the day, this car is 15 years old and has been used hard and put away wet. I feel like being proactive with maintenance items will keep me ahead of the curve, long term, when it comes to keeping this car running strong while others chase nagging issues like wiring, cooling, etc. that are associated with older cars.
