The seller refunded me the entire sum of money from the initial motor purchase, and I have already found a new motor.
It's not an F20C this time, though....

Alright, so a lot of shit has happened in the last few weeks, so I'm just going to give you the highlights.
One of the main focuses of this recent rebuild has been to replace everything mechanical and driveline-related with an upgraded component. The idea is that I'm going to spend the money now to stave off any possible temptation to do so later, and to make the car as solid and mechanically sound as possible all at once. Over time, I've noticed the rear end on my car loosening up gradually. The entire assembly had a lot of play, suggesting that it was time for a rebuild. The original motor package I bought to fix the car with came with an AP2 transmission, and a Puddymod 4.44 final drive rear end. I'm relatively close to Ben (Puddymod), so I took a chance on the diff knowing I'd be bringing it to him anyways for an inspection and refresh. What I DIDN'T know at the time is that he'd tempt me into buying an OS Giken 1.5-way clutch type LSD that he had laying around for a price that's scarcely believable. There's really nothing especially wrong with the OEM torsen LSD, but I'd heard really positive things about the OS Giken unit and I could afford it, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Whether it proves to be a worthwhile investment is yet to be determined, but everything else Ben did to the diff surely will be. The diff now is a "Stage 1.5+", which in Puddymod terms means strengthened hardware, cryo-treated gears, heavy duty crush washer.... I think that's it? I don't remember for sure. But it should help keep the diff from popping on track. Also, Ben hooked it up with one of his custom differential covers with extra fins welded on for added cooling. This should help keep the diff fluid temperature at a reasonable level on track.
Anyways, here are some photos:

That's all for now.
