Let's start off by introducing myself. My name is James and I live in Hawai'i. Prior to purchasing my S2000 in January of 2015, I owned a 2004 Civic coupe (EM2) for a little over 10years. Long story short, it started life as an ordinary everyday automatic Civic. Pretty much stayed that way up 'til 2008 when I swapped the trans out for a 5spd. A year later, I got a good deal on a K20A2 motor and trans, so I picked that up, and in a few short weeks, I was able to get everything to swap that in. Fast forward to December 2014, I was finishing up a 2yr ground-up rebuild on the Civic. January 2015 comes along and my friend who works for my local Honda dealer told me about a low mileage S2000 that got traded in the previous day by an older couple for a CRV. Ever since I was in middle school, I've always dreamt of owning an S2000. It met all my criteria, so I had to go and at least check it out. I went in later that day, and all within an hour of me getting there, I checked it out, closed the sale and drove it home. In the days following, a hard decision had to be made. Do I keep both cars or sell the Civic to fund the S2000 build? A week or so goes by and after much thought, I decided to part out my Civic and sell the rolling shell.
