Also just noticed you're in Menlo Park. I'm in Campbell. Small world!

Actually, I'm in San Jose now...even closer! But my car is in Santa Rosa :-( Long drive to go work on it.

I like the sound of the KPro. Only reason I went with the AEM was because of a local (santa rosa) tuner familiarity.

You already have the cluster?

Yeah, already have a cluster. My tuner prefers Kpro, hence the Kpro (that and it came in the parts bin when I bought the project car). Need to start a build thread this weekend. I, much like you, will have two build threads. One here on s2ki and one over at ratsun. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your progress. Your skills are far superior to mine, and hope to learn some things from your build along the way. Keep posting!

You over estimate my skills. I've learned a ton, but my best skill is still spending money. My fabricator on the other hand, is badass.

I've got threads on here, miata forums, and the Triumph experience.

Just ran across your thread. Awesome Build! I wasn't sure how it was going to look with the body mods around those tires but it turned out very clean.
I saw that you had some flared fiberglass fenders early on in your project. I'd like to get a set of those. Can you give me any details on them?
Cheers!

Merzman66 - Can you enable e-mail contact in your user settings so I can sent you the info privately?

What are you building?

Hey rustrocket, I just signed up on the site and I think I have to wait a couple weeks before I can do any more than post.
I have a 74 TR6 that I modified back in the late 80's with a Chevrolet 2.8 V6. My plan is to upgrade to a Ford V8 (289, 302) like the Sunbeam Tiger and have wider tires and flared fenders.
I've had a set of the front Flared fenders for decades that look identical to the ones in your photos. (I believe they are from the original manufacturer.) But I could never find a set of the rears.
From what I've read, the original TR6 chassis is too flexible for fiberglass fenders and they would eventually crack. Guess I need to get a chassis built like yours...
Fast Cars Inc. makes a nice custom chassis for the TR6. I'm sure you've seen it. Too bad they didn't incorporate an IRS.

Incredible Job, way over the top. I put an f22c in my '64 TR4, but used beefed up triumph suspension and rear end.

That's a really nice looking swap! Do you have any more pictures of the build process? Any shots of the interior without carpet/seats?

It looks like youre using a turbo header that was modified to fit your car?

I have lots of questions :-)
