Received an email from JMC and I should have some info on the swingarm in a couple of days.

While I'm waiting for an OK on the swingarm, I've been searching for instruments for the custom dash. I have to get it sorted out, so I can tell Dymag whether I need a mechanical speedo drive on the front wheel.

After searching, it looks like I'm going to go with SPA Design Tach/Speedo Combo and their matching H2O Temp gauge. I'm going to try to make my own indicator lights for neutral, high beam, and signals. The dash itself will be carbon fiber.

These are the new front end parts I've got, so far.

Yesterday I bought a 2007 GSXR 600 ignition, gas cap, and tailpiece lock set, supposedly in "mint condition." (Buying on Ebay is always a gamble.) The ad said it also comes with 2 OEM keys.

The plan is to modify my RZ frame to work with the ignition lock, and mount it in a custom streetfghter style top clamp (for dirt bars).

I'm going to look for a crashed '07 GSXR 600 fuel tank to buy, so I can cut out the filler/gas cap mount and weld it onto my RZ tank. The original RZ fuel cap is funky, and this mod will upgrade the tank.

Hopefully, the GSXR600 tailpiece lock can be modified to replace the seat release lock on the RZ.

The 2 OEM keys will get dipped via immersion graphic printing to cover the Suzuki logo.

Just got the word from JMC - the swingarm can be made to my specs.

The price: $1,600 and 8 - 10 weeks to fabricate.

I sure hope everything fits right.

Finally got my order in for the JMC swingarm. I'm going to try to order the Dymag wheels today, too.

I got a custom high-capacity radiator to help keep things cool. I'm going to add carbon fiber sides like on the Ducati Monster.

Damn quite pricey, but you know, Custom is about the money

Unfortunately, I know all too well. The wheels were $2,400.

Bad news on those Spa Design Gauges. It looks like they're not available. I'll have to go with their new model (which isn't as nice), or keep looking for something else.

I'm supposed to be getting price quotes on Monday or Tuesday for an ISR Front Master Cylinder, ISR Clutch Lever and ISR Rear Master Cylinder. (Probably another $1,000 ).

Progress is slow lately.

Steering head bearings for the front end conversion won't be in stock until mid-March.

The company in Sweden that manufactures the ISR brake controls doesn't use e-mail, so it's going to take forever (?) to get the price quotes and order the parts.

I'm not looking forward to getting the price quotes on covering the bodywork with CF. I contacted two shops over a week ago, and neither one got back to me. I'm going to get a quote from my local guy, but he's super expensive.

The '07 GSXR600 ignition, fuel cap, tailpiece lock, and top clamp I bought on ebay haven't arrived. Tomorrow I'm going to bid on a fuel tank so I can chop out the fuel filler for the new gas cap.

Those levers are works of art.
