Default New Kawasaki H2

This deal sounds like fun. 998 cc. Supercharged. approximately 300 horsepower. Get one before it's banned.

That sounds absolutely ridiculous - twist the throttle and you'll be left standing in the middle of the road!

...but it'll have run the quarter mile by the time your arse hits the ground!

While the street version (~200hp rumored) is nothing I'd consider buying, it's an interesting exercise in design and engineering. I'm curious what they'll do with the electronics package, if they can make the bike anywhere near as approachable/accessible as the S1000RR.

Insane bike that I don't have the stones to ride...but if they were going to resurrect the H2 name, I'm sad that they didn't stick to tradition and make it a big displacement 2-stroke triple...probably would make the same peak HP, just do it in a 400% scarier way but it'd never pass emissions.

the original Kawi H2, nicknamed the "Widowmaker" because it was too fast for its brakes/chassis/suspension:

750cc Inline-3 2T making 75 hp. An older Kawi H2 is part of my dream-garage/stable.

^^^ My Dad had Yamaha's version of that bike back in 1978 2 strokes are cool as shit. I ride one myself.

I like the updated inverted forks and rear swing arm on that bike, someone went to a lot of trouble. Fits nice

That is a nice H2. I had a 73 H1 (first street bike), upgraded to a 74 H2. Fun back in the day.

yeah, no way you could legalize a stroke that big these days. I love modern 2 strokes, though....for dirt bikes.
