I have been meaning to ask. The pins with the flat sides go on the top of the caliper on the fronts right? And on the rears it goes on the bottom?

Bump for a good maintenance thread. I need to do this with mine. When I was installing my new rotors and moving the pins by hand they were not moving nearly as easy as I'd like or think they should.

Any update on the Bendix stuff? Seem to work fine? I see 3m has some silicone grease but I guess it has too low a flash point (570F) to be used on brakes for a track car..? http://www.amazon.com/3M-08946-Clear.../dp/B005RNEH5O

I ended up using Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant instead: Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant 8 fl. oz. brush-top bottle

I'll have to be going to the track often to see if this stuff holds up

Crap, I didn't even realize there were flat sided pins for the front. All I know is I put the flat sided pins on the bottom, for the rear. I just need to buy myself a damn Helms manual.

Also a quick search advises to use Wurth Silicone Lubricating Compound pricey but what honda techs are supplied with for the job and Napa 7651346 Sil-Glyde Silicone Lubricating Compound is a good substitute.
