Gauging interest: Group drive to T-Hill 23NOV
Hey guys and gals,
Not sure if there's been any discussion on (I didn't see anything so far) getting a group drive up to Thunderhill for the Megameet?
I'm looking and comparing both fastest and scenic route times, and looks like the fastest route (freeway only) gets us there around 2-2.5 hrs.
The scenic routes vary, but adding one or more scenic sections would add 30-45 mins each, depending on where the detours are.
Because of the long distances involved, I also see a problem with people who will be tracking their cars, because it would require us to leave at the ass-crack of dawn to make the 8am driver's meeting. With daylight fleeting during this time of the year, I'm not sure that's such a great idea (to do the scenic routes in the dark). I know some of you will go up the night before, but not all of us will have that option.
Perhaps the group drive should be limited to those who aren't tracking?

Might be interested in meeting up with the both of you as well. Are you guys planning on leaving the day before or the day of? I'm coming from Hayward so I can stop by Fairfield as well

I actually live in Davis which is 55 minutes to T-Hill. Since I garage my S2000 at my cousin's house in Fairfield/Green Valley Area...........I don't mind meeting up with a few folks at his house or a local Starbucks by there.
