South Bay + Hwy 1 drive Sunday 06NOV?
I know this is kinda short notice, but would anyone want to join me on a nice long drive around the south bay/peninsula tomorrow? Maybe meet in San Jose, grab lunch in Santa Cruz, then head up Hwy 1 to 92 then Skyline and back?

If anyone's interested, I'll be on the top level of the Valley Fair parking lot by the entrance near the Chase and Bank of America branches.
If you're coming down 880, go west on San Carlos/Stevens Creek and turn into the entrance where you see a Chase Bank/Bank of America at the Valley Fair Mall. Straight into the multi-level parking lot, top floor.
Hope to see a few of you.

Yeah, I know. I wasn't sure what I was going to do that day, and it was a last minute decision. There was also the Cars & Coffee event, so that would've conflicted with a full-on organized group drive.
Anyway, next time I'll give more notice for sure! I ended up going south instead of the coast. I've been wanting to scout Hwy 25 for a meet, but it seems too far to drive, especially for those of us who come from either the East or North Bay areas.
Here are some photos from today. Absolutely great day to be out!
At Valley Fair parking lot. It's actually a good place to meet, as there are plenty of spaces at the top level.
Roadside on CA 25, south of Hollister. Bucolic country for sure. Also, Trump territory.
There was this crazy road closure. Not sure if it was a landslide or if they were realigning the road...
The winding pavement of CA146 driving into Pinnacles National Park.
Made it into the Pinnacles as far as the visitor's center, but didn't go further. It was already 130pm and I needed to get back home by 4pm (still needed to stop for lunch). Next time I'm in the area, I'll bring the whole family.
The 19th Hole Bar. Decent place, except for the fact that there were dumpsters right by the front of the joint, and there was a group of rednecks with chainsaws taking down some trees, so it was quite noisy. The Hard Rider Burger is highly recommended if you're into spicy food!
Thanks for looking!
