Default Collision, total loss

So I got rear ended on my way to work today. Trunk smashed in, taillights smashed, rear bumper... frame damage. Getting car appraised tomorrow and I still owe 16k on the loan. Has anyone dealt with this? Any pointers?

So sorry to hear that. If your ins or hers try to short you get a attorney. If you were in the car at the time of hit, get a attorney now. You don't stand a chance if you try to get whats yours from an ins. co. They "ARE" the pros in getting you as little as they can. You need someone on your side. I'm 60 and if I'm ever in a accdend my first call will be to my attorney.
