Love the center stack CGT style shifter. Spoiler into the rear tail lights is a bit weird. Looks like a good car though, wish it made more a lot more hp than the current one and it was already pretty quick.

Is it even worth upgrading to a 911 cabriole? Damn I love this thing!

Imo people that say things like "lol, poor man's carrera gt fail" just don't get Porsches (not you d1rtyc4r, but people say such things). Besides the fact that you can buy a Boxster at the $100k price point, believe it or not, unlike some other marques, there no such thing as a half-assed Porsche even at the lower price points, assuming you can even call $60k a "low price point".

I read on another site ( http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/01/11/t...e-boxster-981/ ) that the Boxster S will have an optional LSD as well (they say torque vectoring, which would imply an electronically controlled diff, which I don't think is going to happen, so I'm assuming it's a bad translation of torque distribution), which is great.
Looks are fantastic - finally, the front looks moderately different than the rear! The side air scoops help a lot and the detailing on the flanks of the car give it a more muscular look. Standard 18" wheels are a great idea (the 17" always looked horrible to me) and the interior looks better as well.
Boo to the wimpy power increase, though. Seriously, +5 hp in a full model change on the top model? Who are they - Honda?
Honestly, though, the improved styling might sway me more towards this (or a Cayman) instead of a 911. With plenty of magazines quoting 0-60 in low 4s range with PDK and launch control for the last generation cars (Spyder and Cayman R), plus the lower weight (this car is down 35 kg = 77 lbs vs previous model), this thing should be an absolute blast to drive on both city streets and the track.

Finally...a Boxster that I might actually consider to be an actual Porsche!
