Default A 4.0 Cayman GT4RS!

http://www.autoblog.com/2017/02/13/porsche-cayman-gt4-rs-leak/?ncid=txtlnkusaolc00000752&kwp_0=337324&kwp_4=1269 318&kwp_1=565516

Will current GT4 owners get hit if this does come out?

Seems to me like a WINNING combo!

Affording one is one thing but the price of upkeep and modding the thing keeps me price out for something I would only drive on the weekends and the months of spring till fall. I could have a fully mod ford rs for daily and a fully mod s2000 for weekends and cheaper upkeep cost for both. Please don't get me wrong I would kill for the gt4 now with the sharkwerks mods but at 125,000 I will pass. the new gt4rs would be nice but getting one at sticker and then again the upkeep because you just can't get under the thing but its nice to dream. But yes the price of the first gt4 will be hit how hard will tell me if I can afford a used one someday. LOL

GT4 prices won't take a dive as they were fairly limited, the GT4RS will be even more limited and hard to get and will be more $$$.

All rumors and theories... I won't believe anything until the actual car is announced by Porsche.

I remember the talk regarding the GT4 when it was first announced and only a handful of things people were rumoring about actually came true. (911 Engine. Manual Transmission. Better Aero).

Porsches aren't expensive to maintain. New ones especially, not expensive and very reliable. What are you referring to?

I don't see greedy dealers letting the first batch of GT4 RS go for less than $160k a pop.

Low hanging fruit - easy money. They'll do it and make a killing on the mark up via exclusivity.

It'll be super cheap to engineer and will likely just modularize parts from existing GT/RS models. That seems to be Porsche's niche... modularization, exclusivity, massive mark up, massive margins. Not to take away from the awesomeness of the car - I'm sure it'll be the next best thing since sliced bread and forever beyond my reach. haha
