5 Innovative Honda Cars from the Last 15 Years
#21
I'm talking about Hondas of the same era as the S2000. When you bought a Honda/Acura "sports" car at the time whether it's a Civic Si, RSX-S, S2000, you didn't question reliability. It's already assumed to give you years of trouble-free ownership. It's nothing new.
The S2000 is a spectacular sports car, but again, what makes it innovative? When you hear the word innovation, you think new, ground-breaking, technological advancement, etc. This is opposite of what made the S2000 the car it's known for: raw, bare-bone, no-frills, back to the basics design.

You are completely glossing over the fact that the F20C was the highest output per displacement champion for a number of years. Ferrari only beat it with the 458. That is why the S2000 is innovative, they were the first to break the 125 hp/l barrier on a street driven car with a warranty.
You could probably through in the fact that it had the stiffest chassis of any convertible ever produced. Including Ferrari.

Honda is a motorcycle company. Their sportbike engines rev a lot higher than that and don't grenade.
I hop the next gen is awesome and revs high also.
