Thanks all! Haven't been able to reply to comments since I've been out of the country. There's a good chance I'll get to track the RS at Laguna Seca early next year. That will be very revealing.

Either way, I would totally daily one of these. Stiff suspension and all.

Well duh. I just haven't been able to find anything close. Unlike some, I'm not going to jump through every hoop imaginable to spend 40k. Once it proves very difficult I say f it and just don't need it. My preference is Subaru anyway, for this segment, and I'm waiting on a new DIT STI.

Mine:

Ride is a little bouncy, other than that it's a fun DD. Ask me any questions. She's in winter mode right now as you can see.

Car looks looks great, I love Nitrous Blue. I'm so glad I live in a province that long abandoned the front licence plate.

Grand Tour Eboladrome lap times - FastestLaps.com

On the Grand Tour, it's slower than the last-generation Civic Type R.

Seems like a hokey track and can't find any incar video of that place. The link does not say if the RS was on comparable le PSC2s or the PSS tires.

Funny - you had no problem talking about the faster GT350R against the 458 due to tires...

No idea on tires and yes, it's a weird track...but a track, nonetheless.

The 350R and 458 have one "factory" tire option. The RS has 2. It would be good to know if it was slower than the Civic-R in that test on the comparable tires or slower PSS tires.
