If they have one or both kids you no longer need a back seat, correct?

e46 m3. Don't have to stretch the budget. Low mile good example should be low 20's.

I am assuming you want the airbag disabled because your kid is in a rear facing car seat?
No, front facing. But I prefer the airbag turned off when my kid (4yrs old) is in there.

I see nobody brought up a 2009-10 range 335i. Since the fuel pump issue was sorted out they seem to be pretty reliable, cheap, fun to drive, and if you want to mod it, they can make crazy power.

Correct. But there is issue of drop off versus pickup from schools, activities, etc. It can get hectic managing the whereabouts of our caregivers as well as kids, and making sure there is coverage!

Oh man, I don't know how we missed this. Under $20k pretty easily for a nice one. GREAT option.

A 335XI (live in Canada) has been on my radar a few years and will be on my test drive list when I sell the Subaru and put the s2k back on the road in the spring. The HPFP were a concern, but from all the reading I've done, those aren't a concern at all anymore.

OP, this is a great option. If you need more room, 535i.

Manual transmission, just texted him. $34K cash, flew to Seattle and drove it back to Florida. Had 34K miles at the time. Still zero issues with it. Solid.
