Alfa. Alfa Romeo.
And yes. I would - Beause it's NOT a Cayman. Too clinical and too common.

If they are in similar price range, I would totally go for the 4C. Porsche's are everywhere on the road, not that they make poor cars but when I pay $60,000+ for a sportscar I want to stand out.
Despite the looks of this car, how many of you would consider it a supercar? Obviously it's an entry level, it's Alfa's Cayman/Boxster, but I think the general public would think...holy crap!

so the question is, would you be truly purchasing the Alfa for yourself or for the public?
I would still pick the Alfa, for its styling and exclusivity , for myself or the public.

I agree, I love the cayman but fit that kind of dough I want something that feels more special. The porsche does things very well in situations you'll rarely use, magazines rave about it therefore every tool who buys things based on what others want abd think are going to buy one, abd they're not particularly cheap to operate. At least the alfa has character, but not enough for me. I like the car alot, but this wouldn't be a throwaway toy for me so c7 for me.

The first thing to do in my view is to wait to see whether the car is on the road more than in the shop. I realize it's likely more reliable than the older Alfas, given most cars are more reliable nowadays, but the combination of being a new model and being from Alfa makes me think there's at least a chance it will have issues.

I'm actually toying with the idea of a 4C (I'm sure it will be nearly impossible to get one soon) but I'm not sure it would be worth financing about half of the car...

And the parts will take until your 10th payment to arrive.

Honestly a big part of while I'm reluctant, no parking to do a second car, so it'd have to be reliable. But....it's an Alfa....

they thought we all like automatics so they put in the automatic, the man is sticking it to you. Pretty soon your car will drive you to work without an option to drive manually, next you will only shop at 1 store and eat 1 type of meat, don't you see it is a prison being created to turn you into a sheep.

For the same reason Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, or Lamborghini do not offer a manual transmission....
And from what I read it's not going to happen. The carbon fiber tub won't allow it as it is currently designed.

the same way as the other italian car makers, eg Lambo, Ferrari (not to mention other very high-end cars GT-R, 650S, P1). Even the last bastion of manual is giving in now, the GT3. I guess it's up to the American makers now.
I drove the S2000 earlier this evening - just took a spin in the mountain. The slick transmission was a joy.
Although the Ferrari is more fun to drive, the F1 transmission takes some of the fun from the car.

You choose your cars based on the most commonly part to be swapped out of a vehicle? That's pretty... odd.
