New Car Purchase ..NSX (UPDATE with new wheels)
Hey guys,
So over the past 6 months ive been on and off searching few a NSX. At first, I wanted to stay strictly with a NA2. After driving both NA1 and NA2s, I realized that the difference wasnt that significant and I just wanted to get a clean, well taken care of car.
So long story short, I found a car from a private party about 1 hour from me. I checked the car out a few weeks ago and was shocked how immaculate the car was. The paint was 9/10 condition. The interior was pretty clean considering its age, and had the rare ivory interior which I preferred over the black.
So after a couple weeks of negotiating a price, and getting all my ducks in a row, here is my new 91 NSX. It is all stock minus coilovers and exhaust. The car also came with the OEM 95-01 wheels which are 100x nicer than the 91 wheels. The previous owner gave me all the OEM parts. The car comes with 2 rare titanium keys and a new regular OEM key. The car has a nice viper alarm system installed and even has an OEM car cover. The car also came with a ton of maintenance records, from all the previous owners. SCORE!! Oh the car has 84k miles. ENJOY
Im facing a weird dilemma because I now have 3 cars and still live at home. I dont wanna sell my s2k, but unfortunately its going to have to sit outside which really bums me out. First world problems here.

I may be in the minority here, but I think your S is nicer than the NSX.
I do do like the ivory interior on the NSX though.

I take that to mean living with the parents?
Whatever the case, cool car! A bit too low, but easily fixed.
FWIW - sell the s2k, and move out... LOL! My GF told me the same a few years back. WTF are you doing with three cars and nowhere to store legitimately store them? She said, you can buy an aircooled Porsche after you buy a place to park it. Buying that place immediately "fixed" my priorities. I am now very happy with my s2k, my own garage, and a mundane slush box 5-door 2.0i impreza (sold the other two vehicles). I've also scrapped the aircooled Porsche plans unless the weekly "poor people's tax" (aka lottery tickets) plan turns into something other than a money pit...
Sorry for the thread derail, but you included that little detail and I fixated on it. Honestly, cool car, though - I hope it's more than a garage queen though, and properly gets put through it's paces with the vast and varied track opportunities here in SoCal.

Sorry I should have mentioned that my other car is a crappy 2001 Ford Taurus that is just used as a DD. Im only 25 but I am lucky enough to have a car payment and save for a house. The problem is the S isnt worth enough money to really push me to get a house so I would rather keep it.
Also, the first goal is to put the sotck suspension back on so I can see what that feels like. Currently the car has Megan Track coilovers. Surprisingly they're super comfortable on the soft setting.

As a homeowner, not gonna hate. 5 years I'd probably be giving you a lecture on childish this is, living at home. But homes are money pits. Just remember that unless you wanna pay rent for the rest of your life they are inevitable. At least by the time you get one you'll have a S2000/NSX pair to put into your garage.
Congrats on the car. I came close to buy two, myself, both 1992's. One was 27k the other 30k, and I'm still pissed and I didn't buy either in 2004.
