The new Honda Civic Type R (World Market version)

Cars are a wee bit harder to steal now, compared to the old Type R. Just saying...

FWD high performers had their time. I'm just no longer interested in them whatsoever. If Honda made one that was SH-AWD and designed to compete with the STi, Golf R, and RS, I'd be extremely interested. Honda needs to start thinking outside of the box and doing things differently instead of regurgitating the past. Times have changed. N/A V6, turbo V6, something other than inline 4 bangers that are FWD.
Yup.

Also, nothing stops a flatbed.

Funny you mention this, because there is no doubt in my mind this will be the case. Especially now, in this time, where so many people post to social media with geo-tags and involve their cars. Never before has it been easier to find a car to jack parts from. I can't imagine what it would have been like back in the Integra Type R/GS-R days if there had been easily accessible information in the internet like there is now.

There's zero appeal in my mind for a high powered FWD hatchback. For the money at which the Type R will be listed too many other good options. No chance that I'd pick one over a lightly used (or purchased at invoice) Mustang GT or Camaro SS, superior Nurburgring time or not.

I don't think theft of these types of 'ricer' cars is as prevalent since there just aren't many driving around anymore. It's rare I see an ugly civic with neons, giant fart can and a big wing on the back anymore. Those F2F days are kind of over thank goodness.
