Anyone know what part availability is like for the Pontiac since they are no longer in business?

How about an Alfa 164 Q in a manual? That is your budget and good examples are climbing in value. A little older than your other choices, but it's a stunning design that hasn't that still looks great today.

FYI the thread starter doesn't require a manual transmission. That was stated by a piggybacker.

Pontiac...no.
Cts...no.
Jag...wtf people?!!
Just go with the charger. It's the best for the money you are looking to spend.

Charger is the worst looking, most vanilla choice. I would put that at the bottom of the 4 listed. 300C is nicer looking...

I agree with the 300c. the jaguar is nice looking, but it's a jag. The newer 300c's are nice inside, especially, but for the 17-18k I don't know what kind of 300c you can get. $17k ctsesesss are not attractive either. These aren't the awesome looking V spec cars. The G8 may have parts issues. I have a 2008 dodge right now that might need a new ecu, it's been discontinued and that is going to make this part hard to find, should i need it. I would say the G8 is a great choice if it wasn't for that.

I'm around the same budget. My kids are teens and I don't need a sedan though I could do one. I require a manual and the G8 only has one in the GXP trim but those are over the budget.

Please let us know how your test drives go. Good luck with your search.

They are just edgy enough that a car enthusiast knows they are something special, while the average person thinks they are just another grandpa-mobile. Merging on the highway and chirping the rear tires at 60 mph in a Caddy was a very cool feeling. Handling was good, braking was above average and the transmission was good enough. Overall a very fun car at a great price (415 hp/tq for $15k?).
+1, I didn't realize the CTS-V had dropped that much in price

A 20 - 25 year old Alfa. Great idea.

The SS is amazing but carries a premium especially for its manual transmission. If you are okay with an automatic, you can look for a 300 SRT8..
