Wavy disc brakes

thats laguna seca that's y. Lots of Miatas I know run thunderhill and buttonwillow only cuz of sound. Gt3 for me at least r not that fast especially for a 200k car vs a 5k car. They average lap times around 205 at TH and a good driver can drive a Miata to a 202. When it comes to laguna seca I don't count it as cometion as the exotic cars have an advantage to the sound barrier. When u cork a Miata or s2000 the motors do not like
Not bashing on Porsche either. I like Porsche but I can't afford one haha
also it depends on driver. Usually the gt3 ppl are elderly and the Miata ppl are younger. Not saying younger r better but youngsters have more energy.

At any rate, not sure how wavy disc brakes on 4,500lb Audis morphed into Miatas beating GT3s on a track.

Uhh gt3 and rs is track oriented. U can even get a full cage option. Anyways I'm just saying weight is huge. The Miata have 90 hp and the gt3 has 400? It's the weight that gets them to the finish line first. And your talking about a 200k car vs a heavily modded Miata that come over 6k. When u rock the track in a 200k car it probably hurts ur ego when a 6k carpasses u haha. Only trying to prove a point here don't bash me lol. Il take light weight over power. Light weight is fun and stress free. More power is scary (mostly, drove a buddy's 600whp evo on track and ya it was scary.) and u gatta be focused.

I think the rotor pricing is the same. I don't know how this will benefit over a stock round rotor. From an engineer perspective it could weight less. But that could also mean less surface area.

Pure marketing gimmicks. But then again unless you have asbestos brake pads so are drilled rotors. I can see that stuff mattering on something super light and not a lot of grip like a motorcycle. On a big car with 4 good contact patches you need heat capacity AKA weight in the rotors.
