What enthusiast cars are financially like the S2000?

Not 100% related, but the insurance on my C7 Corvette was SIGNIFICANTLY less than the insurance on the Golf R. I am talking like 50% less...

That's pretty low. Obviously once a car bottoms out it's not going to depreciate much more. But that doesn't mean it hasn't depreciated much.

In comparison, that site says the average price for an S2000 is $17,514. Huge difference.
A lot of car for $14k. For comparison the S2000 prices are flat since '08 and if milage is held constant they've gone up. That's pretty much unheard for a car that isn't rare. The Z is still in steady if slow decline.

THIS. Costs nearly twice as much to insure an STI as a C6Z or even C7Z where I live. GTR insurance price was also astronomical when I checked.

Same for me too. My C7 is about 20% less than my wife's GTI
