Akra is a bit like the lacoste of exhausts. Whilat there is definitely no dispute it is a polo shirt, does that badge turn it into a 4 grand polo shirt?

If you are a coke dealer from Sarfend, it certainly makes it affordable and then when you sell it on eBay a few weeks later, you've just laundered your dirty money without issue.

Ha I tested this and it didn't work. At first I thought the Indy had miswired but RTFM and

Turns out there is a built in truly nanny state FRED. The fold mirrors button only works at up to 20kph then auto opens the Dumbo ears at 40kph. So on the country lanes the button is inoperative or worse if you do close them at < 20kph (12mph) as you accelerate through 25mph the ears open and - potentially - kerpow!

This compares very unfavourably with the OEM S2000, which as any fule kno has a defeat to stop you opening the roof (fastest in the world etc) when stationary. One of a few must do changes but eminently doable with the nature of the beast, being essentially a JBF (just before FREDs) properly engineered car

Yeah but that's an analogue system and can be defeated by a simple wire chop

Is there not some way to reprogram said FRED by the FREDinterface thing?

Could well be possible with the right software/skills. Wilf (Winfried) has had a few things changed I believe.

You can download the Carly app and change it yourself or get someone else to do it.

My mirrors now fold when I lock the car, brake lights flash on heavy braking, have the GTS gearbox software and have all the internet stuff working

Thanks but I don't own a smart phone edit - and the Android Carly app gets poor reviews. I will talk to my Indy next visit as we now have a track record with the mirror What do you mean by 'all the internet stuff'?

I got someone to come round as well, can't be bothered learning about these things

The bmw apps and spotify and internet radio and supposedly live traffic but I haven't tried this yet.

I can now listen to Dutch radio in the car while in the UK

Jesus Christ Wilf be careful someone will think you're a terrorist hearing foreign tongues booming out

My satnav does live traffic updates, ignored at my cost the other day ... dreaded black triangles on my route

Maybe I am not adventurous but I pickup plenty enough DAB stations for me even here in the sticks. And I have ADHD when it comes to music ...

I had Bastuck on my 335i.
Superb kit - like Eisenmann but even cheaper. Solid, nice sound, good materials, burbles and sounds similar to the BMW offering.
