John Surtees: Former F1 world champion dies at 83 - BBC Sport
A true sporting legend, from the days when F1 was all about the drivers and less about the technology.
I'm just that little bit too young to remember his heyday but I remember at Goodwood FoS one year I got chattingn to him about how it used to be back in the day. it could have been just an everyday chat with a mate in the pub he was so down to earth, none of the airs and fancy bling that goes with todays crop of zillionaire drivers.
R.I.P.
p.s tried editing my spelling error in the title without success. Not sure if one of the mods can help out :-)

RIP to a real legend.

Yup. One of the best. 80 odd and when you watched him get on one of his bikes, the years just melted away.
