Maybe you can turn the s2000 into a hire car for trackdays
1. Park your S2000 in an Autobahn stop area.

2. Wait for the first German to come screaming past.

That's the effect.

Those racing Caterhams are bloody fast. Only on a bumpy track does the S2000's extra mass help it with a traction advantage.

A normal S2000 I'd agree Nick, but mine is very nippy and would take Craners flat to give an idea of its dynamics! There's about 3 seconds in it at Donington from memory.

Think I've got a good solution of putting it back to fairly standard but leaving a really good track / race car, and selling a lot of the trick parts.

That thing needs brain recalibration! Lunatic quick and combined with the gearbox - very easy to arrive in allsorts of a muddle if you don't know the track.

Very sure you'll do very well

It's great fun UF. My instructor took me out and thought I was going to die, only to realise after my times were the same as his - it's deffo a good passenger experience.

It's probably as quick as a fast bike and with more grip with less chance of potato. Can see the attraction. Will be following with interest.

Does that include the intake side, or is that a keeper?

And the 89 sleeved block & pistons would be staying with the package then.

Nope, sell without an engine. That engine is fine as 2 halves, but the head and block don't go well together. It's also worth lots of £££!

Best to keep S2000 off this thread though...
