Complete ignorance of the intricacies of tyre design, usually. Or beleiving some equally ignorant twat on the net who told him Cumwhores/Wankhooks were 'awesome'...

Mate of mine has an original Lister Le Mans. Well - it's his dad's. Rarely leaves it's garage.. 612bhp, 7 litre V12. Short of some of those horses for sure. Outrageous styling of the XJS but it kinda carries it off. Looks a wee bit similar to that above :-D Not surprisingly it has/had reliability issues. But anyway, said friend also flamed his old man for using BF Goodrich hoops. Supposedly awful in the wet. The tyres are super wide!

I actually like the Jags Gad, I've slowly become a fan. I only ever disagreed on the value of the XJR, however that car itself is one of Britains best used buys for the money. But I'd be terrified of owning one. They keep the wallet busy, and the spanners oily. Good for the competent hobbiest.

I'm becoming quite partial to Jags myself, although as I don't have the space for 9 cars it'd have to be something I could use every day.
An XF-R perhaps.

MOT today. Always a bit nerve wracking with big old cars. Lots of stuff for testers to fail that you can't really check without a pry bar and lift. Wish me luck.

Passed first time with half a dozen advisories. Car is rock solid, the things to look at are start of corrosion on rear brake pipes, a balljoint, all easy enough to fix as and when.

The knocking noise underneath when cold may be a fuel damper but I also suspect a gearbox mounting. I think a trip to a specialist is in order as the noise interrupts the cathedral like silence of the drive.

Performance can be described as adequate. Starting is theatrical.

Some pics as previously promised:

Despite the appearance, the paint isn't good enough for me, so it'll be visiting a bodyshop before long

LWB - over 5m long so a struggle to fit in some garages and no parking sensors

Previous owner fitted this new headlining (and heated front screen while he was at it). Originals sag.

Haha. I love these left field choices.

I could easily flog my M and go through a series of random cars like this and those yakuza things
