We have had this with company vans before. Got speeding tickets through and when you log in and see the picture of the vehicle its a renault clio instead of a transit connect and you can clearly see the camera has misread the number plate... It would be nice if they at least checked these things before sending them through

Quango* lead-swingers doing proper work they're paid to do? GTFO...

*They claim they're Essex Plod, but are probably SERCO or someothersuch despicable crony-capitalist behemoth. Isn't impersonating Plod a serious crime, up there with perving the course..?

The big 'police' station in Stevenage handles a fair bit of the NIP stuff IIRC.

Oh the address might be Essex but i'm pretty sure all the 'paperwork' is farmed out to here. I always wondered why it was such a large new building in such a small awful town

Sounds like you work there UF?

Sneak a peek at the photo(s) for case E509/16/006 and see if it looks like my avatar

Off the hook

Apologetic phone call half an hour ago returning my voice message: they got the wrong number. Shred the evidence!

It was a BMW but registration ends in W not E. Someone is going to get a Christmas surprise

Thanks for all the advice folks this is a good ending phew

I hope they will confirm the 'shred' instruction in writing...

Good thinking Greenman on both counts.

However I won't do anything with the paperwork but keep on file. Both my call to them and their reply will have been logged I have no doubt plus I have a record of receiving their return call on my mobile.

As it happens there is a BMW 1-series 5 door with what I think is the mistaken number, according to Michelin's tyre selection web site. Might look a bit like mine from the front view but the arse end is a lot different
