Traffic lights ahead, he did a u turn behind me and caught up. Not cool but they were very civil. You live and learn!

LC is rubbish ! If conditions aren't absolutely perfect , you get a lot of wheel spin .

On one of my M3s in 'pensioner blue' (© Nottm) the Launch Control page in the manual had a corner turned down.
Another reason for moving it on ...

You never mentioned that when you tried to flog it to me.

the 'serious speed' thing is def an issue for me. My S2 is quicker than the M but it "feels" much, much quicker. Which is a ****ing good thing with the speed natzis about imho

And that's the rub isn't it?
We are of an age here e KNOW even a lot of diseasals are properly quick through the cogs.
But what really matters, is how it makes you feel when doing it.
My little lad had a spin in the Elise last month, he loved it but if scared him. Speechless but grinning.
"Daddy that was awesome , but it made my willy feel funny!"

Priceless
And that sums it up nicely.

Haha absolute classic. My 4yo loves the 'speedy' car

totally ambivalent to the M though he appreciates mild oversteer

For me, the S2000 with that combination of NA induction noise / exhaust blat and screaming revs takes some beating. In fact, the only thing that beats it for 'feel' is the motorbike.
