Congratulations.

I just hope you've researched this better than your accommodation booking for that Arran trip a decade ago ...

You went for the Catacol Bay Hotel, possibly one rung up from the nearby Youth Hostel, whose rooms all come with that traditional Scottish seaside smell *

When everyone knows you should have taken your wife to the slightly more upmarket Auchrannie Spa & Resort Hotel ...

* A distinctive damp and foosty honk ...

Nice car, I drove one a couple of months ago and they are very impressive.

Superb purchase! Congratulations.
I assume that the heated steering column is to keep your knees warm?

Stunning. I would have gone orange but if red is your thing then you can't top that. Much fun is coming your way.

Nice. Although that is a memorable orange they do. Agree totally what you say about scuttle shake. That's been implied in the Mclaren 'tub' design right from the off and I wouldn't accept anything less.

You can probably buy the Catacol as a holiday home with the change. Or a barn round here. Smelly either way!

So I guess that leaves time to find a good home for the Aston. Are you parting it out?

edit: from the vids I learn you can raise the roof while rolling, unlike the S. Also, clock that green in the second one, cheshire carper

i've got one and it never leaves the garage. boring.

*a bike like the one in Shisks' pic

5.7s 0-100 is scary. dont do a Mr Bean (except if that's selling it later for £8m, do do that)

Heinz - no heating on the steering just electric adjustment
Chesh - there are 4 oranges available 1 flat (MCL's heritage racing colour) and 3 metallics, non of which come anywhere close to the metallic orange on Jaffa. As he is staying we decided two orange cars was a bad idea
Arsie - The Astons going back to stock and the guys who did the work are selling the car and the bits separately (after on last Scotland trip in it!) Mantis green was soon off the list, its like a mildly metallic kermit
Nottm - No plans to follow in Mr Beans foot steps on either count
