Default 2004 Grand Prix White S2000,TX, CPO, Full Warranty

Name: Jonathan
Location: Lufkin, TX
Asking Price: $18,000 or best offer (lowballers will be ignored)
Contact Method: PM only - will follow up with emails and phone calls if needed
Closest Airport: Houston - Bush Intercontinental - 1 hr 40 minutes south of my home

Up for sale is my 2004 Grand Prix White S2000 with tan interior with 54,xxx miles on the clock. This is a two-owner car first owned by a retired couple in Louisiana who purchased it from Holmes Honda in Shreveport. After the husband had a heart attack (probably the first time he hit VTEC), they traded it in with 25K miles for an Accord at the same dealership.

I purchased the car in March 2007 with the same 25K miles on the car. The car was Certified Pre-Owned by the dealership and came with the standard 7 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty all Honda CPO cars receive. I purchased a zero-deductible Honda Care warranty that extended the bumper-to-bumper warranty to the 7 years, 100,000 miles. To be perfectly clear, this car has a FULL WARRANTY UNTIL 2011 OR 100,000 MILES, whichever comes first. So, the car has over 45,000 miles or two years of warranty left.

I have driven the car daily for 2 years, 3 months and had almost zero issues with it. The clutch master cylinder leaked a month or two ago and was replaced by the local dealer under warranty. Otherwise, the car has been flawless.

I have maintained the car mostly by myself, with some work done by Curt @ C&C Northside Motors/Tracktime Performance in Houston, TX. He checked it over for the one HPDE I attended and has performed both alignments on the car in the last year. The car was aligned two weeks ago to PERFECTION (complete match side to side) with me watching the whole thing. It drives exactly as it should. I only use synthetic 10W-30 every 4000-5000 miles with genuine Honda filters and can actually show six of the seven 5-quart containers I used to the prospective new owner. The car has fairly new brake pads as well, if that's of any concern.

This car has the following OEM accessories ($1200 worth, not counting installation):

1. Front OEM lip ($380)
2. Rear OEM wing ($550)
3. OEM XM radio antenna (color matched to the car, installed on the trunk lid) ($400 + installation)

The car has the following aftermarket accessories ($580 worth):

1. Rick's Voodoo aluminum shift knob with pearl clear coat ($60)
2. K&N FIPK air intake system ($250)
3. Resonatorectomy (small resonator removed from the car's exhaust system - adds some throatiness without any drone - $50)
4. 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 Falken Azenis RT-615 tires (10mm wider front and rear)
5. Clear bra installed on the leading edge of the hood and front fenders ($100)
6. Color matched keyhole covers on all keyholes ($15)
7. Rick's front license plate holder ($35)
8. Custom "S2000" aluminum covers for the warnings under the sun visors ($40)
9. Fumoto valve on oil pan (allows oil changes without having to get under car - $30)

The car is not perfect but it is a very, very good example of its model year. It's daily driven so it has a few stone chips on the nose and one or two on the sides. One wheel has some slight rash and the wheels have the occasional nick from mounting and dismounting tires. The driver's side bolster on the seat has minor rubbing (most of it was there when I bought the car), as do most S2000s. The mats have slight dirtying on the driver's side. I have a BRAND NEW, still in the plastic set of replacement mats for the car that will go with the car (no extra cost). I also have the stock shift knob if the owner wants it (perfect condition) as well as the original Honda airbox/intake system with all hoses, screws, bolts, and filter.

The tires have about 40% tread left on them. I have SIX (6) replacement tires sitting in my garage if the prospective owner wants to buy them. They are all Bridgestone RE-01R, molded in 2008, in the following sizes:

1. Two 225/45/17 (front, 10mm wider than stock)
2. Two 255/40/17 (rear, 10mm wider than stock)
3. Two 245/40/17 (rear, stock size)

They will be available (all six) for a special price to the prospective owner only ($900). I WILL NOT PART THEM OUT PRIOR TO SELLING THE CAR SO DO NOT ASK ME IF I WILL SELL THEM TO YOU. These tires are $1300 (shipped) brand new and will be selling at a very good price to the owner only.

PM me with offers or questions. I took a lot of pictures and you can see them all here - http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa208/P...0%20For%20Sale/ - plus the ones I've listed below.

General exterior shots

Interior shots

Detail shots of miscellaneous details and flaws

Most everything should have been photographed already but I can take any others you need if you need more detail on any part of the car.

I still owe some money on this car so I do not have the title in hand. I know a number of people in the North Texas S2000 chapter and Houstooks chapter and am active in the Lonestar chapter of the S2000 Club of America so plenty of people should be able to vouch for me. The car will be paid off as soon as your payment clears at my bank (may take up to two weeks). The title will be forwarded to you as quickly as I receive it. I will sign a full bill of sale and anything else you want at the time of sale, naturally.

I will not finance the car, I will not allow test drives unless you have cash in hand but will be more than happy to demo the car for you any way you want to prove that it is in proper working order.

If you don't like my price, feel free to offer less. If you aren't looking to buy, please keep any negative comments to yourself. I respect your threads (unless you're that ZX-10 guy); please respect mine.

A quick look around will show you how rare it is to find an S2000 in this condition, in this color, with full warranty, with basic mods and OEM accessories, with all spare and extra parts, with decent mileage. Accordingly, I won't be giving the car away. I have a standing offer on the car as it is but would like to see what other offers I get.

I am open to cashing in the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty (probably worth about $500 at this point) and reducing the price accordingly. If you want the extra Bridgestone RE-01R tires (or even just four of them), I can always sweeten the deal accordingly.

If you're wondering why I'm selling, my wife and I are downsizing temporarily to clear ALL of our personal debt. I will be back into a serious sports car fairly quickly (hopefully within 18 months) but in the meantime may switch to an NB Miata or maybe just go to a four-door beater I can use as a daily when I do get my next toy (hopefully a Cayman S or Boxster S, if not a 997S).

Beautiful car - wish you were closer to NC. This color combo is exactly what my buddy is looking for. Would you consider shipping to Chapel Hill, NC and how much (ballpark) would shipping be?

I will absolutely consider shipping it, if the seller arranges for it and pays for it. I can deliver to Houston if need be. I'd imagine you're looking at $700 to ship it, possibly more, depending on if you want the car in an enclosed trailer.

Heck, I might drive it up for the cost of a one-way ticket and gas/food money (probably less than $500, which is less than you'd pay for shipping, I bet). NC is a great place to drive so I'd enjoy the trip. A one-way ticket from Raleigh to Houston is about $200 and it'd probably take me a full day (maybe day and a half) to get to NC from where I am. If I left on a Friday evening, I could be back in Houston on Sunday night. Let me know.

There is a local shipper in Houston that works with the S2000 crowd.

http://www.tpglobalautotransport.com/

If you mention the S2KCA (S2000 Club of America), he'll offer his lowest possible price as well. Contact information is below, for those that might consider buying the car and having it shipped.

sales@tpglobalautotransport.com

As I mentioned above, I can get the car to Houston (major hub) without any issues or cost to the buyer. I can also pick up a buyer in Houston if they want to drive the car home.

Sale pending on the car. However, the tires will probably be available as the new owner doesn't appear to want them.

The tires are Bridgestone RE-01Rs and the sizes are listed in the first post. The 255s and 245s retail for $230+ each (plus shipping) from Tirerack. The 225s retail for $200+ each (plus shipping) from Tirerack.

Add it up and you have $1320 + shipping for all six tires, brand new, and these tires are indeed brand new (still in the shipping tape from Tirerack).

I will sell the 255s and 245s for $180 each ($50 off per tire) and the 225s for $160 each ($40 off per tire) with shipping included. If you decide to buy them all, I'll ship for $1000 total, saving you nearly $400 off retail for brand new tires.

If you have an offer, let me know and I'll consider it.
