I am the original owner, purchased this vehicle new and have taken care of it to the best of my ability. This was our 3rd vehicle, only driven on the weekend in good weather. This car has never seen bad weather, it has never been out in the rain nor snow. It is in showroom condition, inside and out. The paint is perfect, shiny, deeply reflective, and has no scratches and no swirls (I know how to care for an automobile's paint). The interior is equally flawless, with leather and carpeting that looks and feels new.
I don't want to sell the car, however my wife and I now have 2 kids and even though this was our "fun" car, it does not fit into our lifestyle anymore. A 2-seat convertible sports car is the definition of impractical for a family of four and so it's got to go.
The car is completely stock and has never been modded (it is more than fast enough as it is). I did feel that the S2000 as it comes from the factory is a touch on the rough side (I came from a 3 series BMW) so I put some money into refining the interior. The interior has been soundproofed with both Dynamat and Ensolite MLC. The result has been beyond my expectations and I challenge you to drive a stock S2000 and this S2000 back to back. There is a night and day difference in the comfort level inside the vehicle. As a side note, the sound proofing was done with an extreme level of attention to detail, and all factory fasteners were replaced with new fasteners during the procedure. This job was done with the utmost care and it was done right.
The factory sound system was upgraded with a Pioneer head unit, Soundstream amplifier, Infinity Kappa Perfect speakers, and a custom subwoofer enclosure by William Laurent with an Alpine subwoofer in the trunk. As you would imagine, it sounds absolutely amazing and can really rock when you want it to.
The car has had the Honda factory hardtop on 99% of the time, with the softop stowed underneath. As such the softop is practically brand new. There is no wear on the softop at all.
The car is located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. It is about a 45 minute drive northeast from New York City.
