Obscure Netflix download thread....
I have been watching some movies on Netflix downloads that I guess would not otherwise be in my queue. You know.... when you are bored and nothing is on so you check out something you can just pull off the net and watch.
Basically I surf around and find some flicks, usually foriegn films, that I have not heard of but they have high user rating so I check them out.
A couple I have seen have been pretty good.
A suspense movie out of France called "Tell No One" was pretty good even if it was a little slow at the end.
"Let the Right One In" is a pretty creepy Swedish vampire flick.
And "50 Dead Men Walking" was pretty good true tale about an informant placed in the IRA who is still on the run from hitmen today.
Got any others?

First off, highly recommend "Let the Right One In."
Another random one that I pulled up from Netflix recommended, British Indie movie, "Cashback." Quite good, pretty light somewhat romantic somewhat funny and sort of sci-fi ish all at once.
edited for Moar:
Not really in the same vein as the rest you've posted, but if you never saw "Spartan" I'd recommend it. I believe it went straight to video. Val Kilmer is the main character - trying to rescue a girl who was kidnapped by sex traffickers. Suspenseful, gritty thriller. Not cheesy action.
Visioneers - has Zach Galifianakis in the lead role, a rarity... it's an Indie comedy, fairly dark. Sort of a much darker near-future version of an office comedy.

Thanks I'll check em out.
My general rule of thumb on the downloads is just about everything gets a three star or close to it, but those with solid four stars or better are usually pretty good.

Oh, also "The Crew" is a really dark british caper movie that is decent as well, and "the Orphanage" borrows some plots done before but was pretty good as well.

Great thread idea, too.
I just got done watching "Wyatt Earp" (1994) which was 3+ hours and honestly not worth it. Even though it was free. I know that's not exactly an obscure movie, but I'm not sure what's obscure anymore (I make movies for a living so I'm a bit overly plugged-in).
By biggest, best-est, secret Netflix find is a movie called, "1990: Bronx Warriors."
Unfortunately, it's not available streaming...but pop it in your quewe, invite a bunch of friends over, open some adult beverages if you so choose and ENJOY!
You know those movies that are so bad they're good? This movie is so bad it's GENIUS.
Trust me -- this is one of the most amazingly amazing amaze-fests ever put on film.
