Was that in the "Gravel" lot Saturday morning or some place else?

A little further north on 129 from the gravel lot. On the East side (non-lake side) on Thursday night on the way home from Galtinburg.

most people in the area seem to think that black bears are not as dangerous as brown bears, but it would be just my luck to find the one pissed of black bear if I was there, lol. Good thing I'm a hardtop guy

What were you going to do with your phone Dave ?

No bears for me. I did see some wild dogs on the Dragon and two turkeys though!

I seen a bear in Smokey Mountain National Park one year, that year two members of a family were killed by a bear at a park camp site there. Beautiful animals but very unpredictable, and you can't blame them for us invading their space.
