My routine stomping grounds! We recently just drove the parkway to 80 north to Micaville to buy some pottery.

I second the Mt Mitchell restaurant recommendation.

80 & 221 are must drives. Avoid 197 between Burnsville and Barnardsville like the plague.

Just watch out for the Ranger station that is half way up..... you can't see it!

They are not thrilled when you go flying by!

If you are really lucky, you get to talk with the Park Ranger and the Constable at the same time. And they only ask if you have a gun about 10 times. LOL
Unfortunetly I am not as proficient at speaking with them as a certain Swine and Bear. Maybe I should get a hat too?
