Here's a pic of the infamous Tree of Shame with Cortez's antennae. I hear the antennae is missing now.

Yes, as Suzuka Sue said, a radio headset is VERY helpful so you can hear others and they can hear you. The 53725 model works with almost all the Motorola FRS radios. Here is a picture:

Cortez, your antenna was still present as of our rain-filled mini-DB in July. Sumir and I verified that it was in fact still attached to the tree, which has some nice new additions as well.

Raul, you forgot one thing for your list of things to bring: A good attitude! No sourpusses allowed

Folks, with less than 10 days now till the DragonBall Run 2002, I wanted to compile a list of items to bring with you.

Here are some items from a list we compiled during last year's DragonBall Run and the Outer Banks Run.

Also, w1ngman shared this link last year: What to Pack

You may find it very useful. . .
  • Cash
  • An FRS Handheld Radio (Walkie Talkie), Motorola's or others
  • Spare batteries for FRS radios
  • Light jacket (it can get cool in the late afternoon)
  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Camera(s)
  • Film
  • Alarm clock (should be able to use the one in your hotel room)
  • Car cleaning products
  • Hangover Remedy
  • Maps
  • Cell phones will not work on the Dragon but they will work in Alcoa

Anything else? Please post here with your suggestions! Thanks!
