That's where mine is located too, tucked behind the rear brake lines. Its cozy, so I'll probably wrap them all and maybe even fab an aluminum shield covered with gold tape.

Couple of questions. How did you guys run your fuel lines from the fuel pump to your regulators, through the stock fuel feed location? Its a tight fit back there, and I'm wondering if I can run the lines without having to drop anything. What did you guys do with the extra wires and plugs?

I've attached a couple pictures see if you guys could help clarify what goes where. I color coded the pictures to help show the connections. ('06 returnless fuel - not sure if ap1 is same as ap2)

red - fuel feed
pink - fuel purge
blue - drain (water?)
yellow - fuel vent?
green - fuel pressure sensor

Is their a way to keep fuel pressure sensor? Will I need it? Will it even come up as a CEL?

I havent been up there in a while but I have an 07 and did a return sustem. I dont remember breaking any fuel connection to install, and what I mean by that is the evap system iirc for the return and fuel line didnt actually tie into the evap box. I could be wrong but honestly dont remember re-routing or “bypassing” it.

I've also swapped to a return system, and just got rid of all of the evap system. Since using the vette fuel filter/regulator, it requires a return and feed from the tank. I ended up sourcing an ap1 fuel pump so that I could just run the return and feed lines from the pump to the filter/regulator. In return, I just got rid of everything in between. I'm not sure if there will be a CEL as I'm waiting for my wire harness to come in. Not sure if I messed up anything, but I'll find out when I go for the first engine startup.

I could of sworn the ap2 returnless stock system ran 60 psi off the bat. Which leads me to think thats pretty good in comparison to what they say the vette reg does. Perhaps I could of just swapped my returnless hanger back in. The engine is returnless to so. this should work to. Will see.
