Default Old member, new to Miami Area

Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself to people in the South Florida/Miami area. I have been around the boards lurking for some time, and I recently moved down to the Miami area from the Mid-Atlantic. I wanted to see if you guys have meets down here or any hang outs? I'm looking to start getting back into track days and autocrosses; I have seen a bunch of track days but no autocrosses near the Miami area.

My S2000 is an AP1 thats been converted to an AP2 exterior. My track car is an STi. Let me know if you guys are interested in a meeting.

Cheers

Hey! My name is Ricky, and I'm the CO down here (obviously). We meet every Wednesday at the Pinecrest Ale House at around 9 PM, a good mix of old school members and younger guys. A few of us are into tracking our cars, myself included, so we could point you in the right direction. Hope to see you out there!

There was an autocross yesterday at the Speedway kart track. There are also some at BB&T Center in Sunrise.

Be sure to check the SoFl section, this one is more for SW & NW FL, and any other quiet area inbetween.

Welcome to SoFlo.

Few tips.
Keep your S locked and secure at all times. Miami area has a bad theft problem.
Meets happen but frequency and turn outs vary. I have been to just a handful. Check the South FL section.
There are plenty of events and I believe Sunrise is the nearest auto-x at BB&T to Miami as previously mentioned.
Andres is the resident go to guy at Kab customs.
Ricky is CO and is a total nut but does good detailing and lends a helping hand when he can.
You will melt trying to go top down in the summer.
Winters are the best.

Awesome..thanks guy! I hope to meet a few you.

I travel for work Monday thru Thursday so I'm only in town on the weekends, but I should be at a few of the local track days starting in March once I'm done rebuilding my brakes.
